Steel hot-water gasification boiler for burning lump wood
The boiler consists of welded steel sheets. The internal space is divided into a feed shaft, a combustion chamber and an exchanger through which the flue gases flow to the flue throat. The feed shaft is at the top of the boiler, the bottom of the feed shaft consists of a nozzle which directs the flame down into the combustion chamber. Secondary air is supplied to the flame through the nozzle to ensure complete combustion. From the combustion chamber, the flue gases flow through a tubular heat exchanger and fan into the chimney.
For easy fuel feeding, the boiler has a large feed door which, when opened, automatically opens the flue. This ensures that the flue gases are extracted from the area around the door during feeding. In addition, when the door is opened, the fan speed is increased to the maximum so that almost all the smoke released during feeding is extracted into the chimney.
Boiler use, fuel
PYRO THERM steel hot water boilers are a heat source suitable for heating apartments, houses, business premises and similar buildings with a heat loss of 15-30 kW. The heating system can be with an open or pressurized expansion vessel, with gravity or forced circulation of heating water, with a maximum overpressure of 200 kPa.
PYRO THERM boilers are designed for burning dry wood with a maximum moisture content of up to 20%, i.e. round logs up to 100 mm diameter and 330 mm or 500 mm long (depending on the size of the boiler), or split wood with or without bark. The manufacturer recommends that the fuel be placed in the feed chute lengthwise to allow for smooth burning and passage of the fuel. When using awkwardly shaped wood, increased operator supervision is required.
In addition to expert installation, good operation is also dependent on the requisite chimney draft and correct operation.
PYRO THERM boilers are classified as class 5 according to EN 303-5. According to this standard, the boilers must be connected to an accumulation tank, which is used to remove surplus heat.
